Content	This is a one-year full time course, which has been developed for mature students who have practical skills and require a change in career. There are major opportunities in the job market for engineers. This is an opportunity to be re trained to the highest standards at Filton College. Filton College has been providing gas training for the last 50 years to British gas and other major gas companies and local authorities in Scotland. We are the premier providers of gas training and assessment in Scotland. Students will obtain work place experience during the session with an employer. Filton College will provide in-depth training in installing, commissioning, and servicing and repairing and preparing domestic appliances. Students will gain excellent practical skills in our customised state of the art gas workshops.
Extra Activities
Progression	Successful students may gain a supervisory role as a quality assurance engineer, managing installation teams and sales. Some installers become self-employed and run their own businesses. At a later date students may wish to extend their skills into commercial/industrial gas installations. Five years after completion of their training students will be required to undergo ACS training and assessments as part of their continuous development.
