Entry Requirements The desire to be a qualified carpenter working in the construction industry. You must be willing to train in theory and practice in an intense environment. All learners will undertake an initial assessment in order to gauge learning styles and support needs.
Content Door hanging, window frame making, skirting board and dado rail fixing, studwork partition, kitchen fitting and roof erection.

What else?
This CAA award is an industry recognised level 2 award designed to enable successful candidates to gain employment in the construction industry. You can then complete your NVQ in the workplace.
The Next Step Once you have achieved the Intermediate Construction Award and associated NVQ you can then progress onto the Level 3 Diploma and the associated NVQ Level 3. On successful completion, you will then be fully qualified in your chosen trade. The NVQ element is Free providing students complete it within 12 months of the successful completion of the Technical Certificate/ICA Award element, or learners will incur tuition fees for the NVQ thereafter. Students must arrange their own placement.
