The lowdown

The specific aim is to provide you with a stimulating and balanced course that covers all the requirements of the modern building technician designed to
prepare you for further higher level study and to provide you with the skills necessary to develop into a manager within the construction industry.

Programme design and Structure

These BTEC programmes are each designed to last for two years and are delivered over one full day per week.. The core units are mandatory and are delivered with a balanced choice of additional units chosen to provide the learner with a wide range of skills to meet the industry needs.

What you will learn

You will study a range of construction related subjects including; Maths, Building Science, Surveying, Building Technology and other construction projects.

The Next Step Ideally you will already be working in the industry and completion of the National Certificate will lead you on to the Higher National course.Those learners completing the Higher National Certificate can progress on to Degree level.
